Dr. Andrew Lingwall serves as a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Advertising/Public Relations at Pennsylvania State University’s Bellisario College of Communications (World Campus). He concurrently holds a professorship at PennWest University Clarion. Previously, he worked as an account executive at Russell & Herder Advertising and PR, a public relations specialist at Tacoma Community College, and a freelance features writer for The News Tribune.
His research focuses on public relations education and student writing skills in journalism/mass communication programs. Notable achievements include co-authoring The Basics of Media Writing: A Strategic Approach (2017) and receiving the 2019 Scripps Howard Foundation Visiting Professorship in Social Media from AEJMC.
Lingwall emphasizes global perspectives, having taught strategic communication in France, Spain, and Denmark, and conducted research on crisis communication in New Zealand during the pandemic. His international collaborations highlight cross-cultural PR practices and education systems.
