Andrew Hindmoor is Professor of Politics and Co-Director of the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Sheffield. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (1996) and has lectured at LSE, Durham University, University of Exeter, and University of Queensland. His research focuses on political economy, British politics, public policy, and Australian politics.
Research interests include:
- Political economy and governance
- Modern British political history
- Corporate political behavior
- Policy analysis in energy markets
He serves as Associate Editor of New Political Economy and has been awarded the Leverhulme Research Fellowship (2021-2023). His publications demonstrate strong focus on British political history and corporate-government relations.
Teaching responsibilities include modules on The Left and Crisis in British Politics. He has supervised eight PhD students to completion and welcomes supervision in his research areas.
