Andrew Freywald

Andrew Freywald is Professor in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Medicine, where he leads research on molecular mechanisms of cancer progression and targeted therapies.

His laboratory investigates Eph receptor signaling pathways, tumor microenvironment interactions, and synthetic lethal approaches for cancer treatment. Current projects focus on bispecific antibody development and targeting cancer-specific vulnerabilities.

Freywald advises Biomirex Inc. on therapeutic antibody development and maintains active collaborations across cancer research networks. His team utilizes high-throughput screening, proteomics, and CRISPR platforms to identify therapeutic targets.
