Andrew Feldherr is the Giger Professor of Latin and Professor of Classics at Princeton University, specializing in Latin literature, historiography, and Augustan-period poetry. His research explores the intersection of literature, politics, and culture during the transition from the Roman Republic to the imperial regime.

His scholarly work focuses on Roman historiography, the role of fictionality in classical texts, and the cultural dynamics of the Augustan era. He has also contributed to the study of classical myth, satire, and epic poetry through teaching and editorial projects.
Recent publications, including After the Past (2021) and Sallust: Oxford Readings in Classical Studies (2020), highlight his engagement with historical narratives and their literary construction. His analysis often integrates interdisciplinary perspectives, particularly from visual arts and political discourse.
