Dr. Nau’s research explores the narrative structures of ancient epics and the cultural significance of Theban myths. His recent work includes translations of medical texts from the Hippocratic Corpus and analyses of Statius’ Thebaid.
His publications bridge classical scholarship with interdisciplinary approaches, particularly in ancient medicine, philosophical biography, and poetic diction. Key themes include Latin epic intertextuality, Greek oracle traditions, and rhetorical functions in Roman literature.
He teaches courses spanning Latin language instruction (LATN 1080–1090, 2700, 7200) to specialized studies in Augustan poetry (LATN 3800–7200) and Ancient Greek Culture (CLAS 1270).
