Andrew Farrell is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Head of the Marketing & Strategy Department at Aston Business School, Aston University. His research focuses on services marketing, research methodology, and market research, with expertise in service quality measurement and customer satisfaction metrics. He holds a PhD from Loughborough University (2008) and BCA degrees from Victoria University of Wellington (1997-1998). A Certified Member of the Market Research Society (CMRS) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), he contributes to editorial boards of journals like the European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice. His teaching emphasizes market research accessibility, supported by a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (2013).
Notable awards include the 2011 Outstanding Reviewer Award from the European Journal of Marketing, 2014 Dean's Award for Teaching Innovation, and 2016 Aston Astonishing Academics Award. He has supervised 5 PhD/Master’s students and actively participates in conferences such as the International Marketing Trends Conference, often serving as a keynote speaker or session chair.
