Andrew Coveler

Andrew Coveler, MD, serves as Associate Professor in the Medical Oncology Division at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. He holds dual appointments as Affiliate Investigator in Fred Hutch's Translational Science and Therapeutics Division and Director of the Pancreatic Cancer Specialty Clinic.

Dr. Coveler specializes in gastrointestinal malignancies with intensive focus on pancreatic cancer therapeutics. His research centers on clinical development of immunotherapies and novel drug combinations, particularly antibody-drug conjugates and targeted agents for solid tumors. He actively leads multiple Phase I-III trials evaluating emerging therapies including valemetostat tosylate, HER3-DXd, and FGFR2b-targeted conjugates.

His work contributes to Fred Hutch's Cancer Consortium which maintains over 750 active clinical trials. Recent media coverage includes the Comprehensive Hematology and Oncology Review Course's 15-year milestone (2024), ASCO Annual Meeting highlights (2020), and his 2012 appointment to the Center.
