Andrew Carroll is a Research Fellow at the Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Chapman University, where he serves as Founding Director of the Center for American War Letters. He is a bestselling author, historian, and playwright known for his work in preserving wartime correspondence and promoting public engagement with military history.

Carroll’s research interests span military history, historical preservation, and war literature, with a focus on archiving letters and emails from U.S. military conflicts. His work intersects with public humanities and trauma and writing, evidenced by his development of PTSD counseling resources and group sessions at military hospitals.
