Dr. Andrej Krause is an apl. Professor at the Department of Philosophy within the Faculty of Philosophy I at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. His academic focus spans metaphysics, history of philosophy (particularly medieval and early modern periods), philosophy of religion, logic, and intercultural African philosophy. Consultation hours are available by appointment.
His research explores foundational questions in metaphysics, theological philosophy, and historical logic, with emphasis on figures like Thomas Aquinas, Duns Scotus, Bernard Bolzano, and African philosophers such as Anton Wilhelm Amo and Zar'a Ya'əqob. Recent work critically engages with eschatology, educational philosophy, and intercultural ethics.
Publications from 2012–2024 reflect sustained engagement with Thomistic thought, Bolzano's metaphysics, African philosophical traditions, and pedagogical logic.
