Efrem Jindráček is a Full Professor (Docens Ordinarius) at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Rome) since 2018 and a part-time Research Assistant at the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague since 2016. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy (2008) and Mgr./Mgr. in theology (1999) with validation in the Czech Republic (2009). His academic career spans teaching and leadership roles at PUST, including Vice-Dean (2012-2017), and organizing international conferences on Thomistic themes.
His research focuses on the history of medieval and Renaissance philosophy, particularly the metaphysics and logic of the Thomistic school, and the interpretation of ancient authors in the Latin philosophical tradition. His recent publications and presentations address topics such as the ontology of relations, Aquinas' reception in the 15th century, and causality in Scholastic thought, reflecting engagement with both historical and systematic philosophical challenges.

He has advised on grants like Filosofické směry v počátcích Karlovy Univerzity (GAČR P401/11/1362) and led projects on Czech Thomistic psychology and medieval scholasticism. He co-founded the Společnosti Tomáše Akvinského (SITA) and contributes to editorial boards, including the TRANSED group for medieval text translations.
