Andrea Moon

Andrea Moon is a Lecturer in Ceramics at Washington University in St. Louis, part of the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. She actively balances studio practice with academic roles, exhibiting nationally/internationally while contributing to craft dialogues through panel discussions and workshops. Her professional roles include former directorships at The Red Lodge Clay Center, The Pottery Workshop (Jingdezhen, China), and Craft Alliance, emphasizing arts community development.

Research interests focus on contemporary ceramic practices, sculpture, and craft education. Her work explores materiality and form through bronze and ceramic vessels, as seen in exhibitions like 'Outlaws: Higher Education Faculty Working in Ceramics' (2023).
