Andrea Hendricks

Andrea Hendricks is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She holds a B.S. from Sonoma State University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of South Dakota. Dr. Hendricks completed a medical psychology internship at Duke University before working as a health psychologist in San Francisco. She relocated to Birmingham seven years ago and maintains a private psychotherapy practice alongside her academic role.

Her teaching focuses on courses such as PY 219: Abnormal Psychology and PY 109: Drugs and Human Behavior. Professional interests include clinical psychology, health behavior, and therapeutic interventions.
