Anders Ringnér is an Associate Professor in Nursing and affiliated researcher at Karlstad University. His work focuses on paediatrics, oncology, and person-centred care, with a particular emphasis on psychosocial aspects of healthcare. He leads projects exploring the impact of cancer treatments on patients’ sexuality, body image, and quality of life, as well as designing educational programs for oncology nurses. Ringnér collaborates with Cecilia Olsson’s research group and has contributed to interventions like 'Time Together' in psychiatric care and 'Person-Centred Information for Parents of Children with Cancer' (PIFBO).
His research integrates qualitative methodologies, such as Delphi studies and meta-ethnography, to address gaps in patient communication and care delivery. Notable contributions include the validation of health assessment tools (e.g., Sexual Adjustment Questionnaire, Pediatric Inventory for Parents) and studies on parental experiences in pediatric oncology and diabetes care.
Ringnér’s publications highlight themes of patient-staff interaction, intervention feasibility, and stakeholder involvement in recruitment. His work bridges clinical practice and academic research, aiming to improve healthcare communication and patient outcomes across diverse populations.
