Anders Hans-Joachim

Anders Hans-Joachim is a Full Professor of Nephrology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich), affiliated with the Medical Faculty. He holds leadership roles including Speaker of the LMU Medical Faculty's Medical Student Research Program (FöFoLe) and Co-Chair of the FIRE-LMU Research Institute (€40M budget). His research focuses on clinical and experimental nephrology, immunology, and rheumatology, with a strong emphasis on translational sciences and clinician-educator roles.

He has driven major academic initiatives, including reorganizing LMU's FöFoLe program and co-chairing the PRISM Immunometabolism Research Building (€40M). His mentorship includes 4 habilitation candidates and oversight of over 60 annual experimental thesis fellowships.
