Anders Bengtsson

Anders Bengtsson is a Professor and Head of Office at Lund University's Department of Rheumatology. He leads the Lund SLE Research Group and EpiHealth: Epidemiology for Health, serving as Head of Division for Section III. His work focuses on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), thrombosis mechanisms, neuroimmunology, and pregnancy outcomes in autoimmune diseases.

Research interests include autoimmunity, rheumatology, and neuropsychiatric manifestations of SLE. Key projects involve molecular patterns of SLE, cardiovascular manifestations, and SLE prognosis. Recent studies explore interferon-alpha effects on nervous systems and thrombosis mechanisms.
