Anders Anderson

Anders Anderson is an Associate Professor and Director of the Master in Finance Program at the Department of Finance, Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). He also serves as an Affiliated Researcher at the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets and has been Director of the Swedish House of Finance (SHoF) from 2014 to 2021. His academic career includes positions at the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR), the University of Mannheim (2006–2009), and the Department of Economics at Stockholm University (2006–2009). Anderson holds a doctoral degree from SSE (2004), with earlier studies at Stockholm University (BA and MSc).

His research focuses on behavioral and consumer finance, exploring investor behavior, financial literacy, and sustainable investment trends. Notable contributions include studies on green investment decisions, climate policy impacts, and the role of genetic factors in risk-taking. His work has garnered prestigious awards, including the 2016 AFBC Black Rock Best Paper Award and the 2018 GFLEC Financial Literacy Research Award.

Anderson has taught Behavioral Finance and Trading courses at SSE since 2011, contributing to academic outreach through the Swedish House of Finance and Mistra Center. His research emphasizes practical policy implications, such as evaluating subsidies for sustainable transportation and improving financial consumer information frameworks.
