Dr. Anand Shah is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Department of Infectious Disease at Imperial College London’s Faculty of Medicine and a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his MBBS and PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on fungal infection immunopathogenesis. His research spans fungal lung disease, bronchiectasis, and antimicrobial resistance, with leadership roles in initiatives like the AMR-Lung collaboration and Imperial’s Fungal Disease Network. Key roles include co-chairing the European Respiratory Society’s AMR-Lung group and co-directing the FREAL study (MRC-funded). Awards include the MRC Clinical PhD Research Fellowship and multiple clinical innovation grants (2012–2022).
