Ana Oskoz

Ana Oskoz is a Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in the Department of Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication. She currently serves as Associate Dean in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and chaired her department from 2018 to 2022.

Her research focuses on technology-driven second language acquisition. Key areas include:

• Use of synchronous/asynchronous tools (chats, blogs, wikis)
• Promotion of cultural discussions through digital platforms
• Enhancing intercultural competence and FL writing
• Digital storytelling and Web 2.0 integration in education
