Dr. Amy Spencer is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Bath Spa University, based at the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries within the Research and Enterprise department. Previously, she held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at UWE Bristol on the two-year Ambient Literature project, a collaboration between UWE Bristol, the University of Birmingham, and Bath Spa University.
Her educational qualifications include:
- PhD in Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths, University of London
- MA in English, King's College London
Her research focuses on digital writing, ambient literature, collaborative authorship, and do-it-yourself cultural production. She is the author of the book "DIY: The Rise of Lo-Fi Culture" and has expertise in Creative Writing, English Literature, and Cultural Studies, with emphasis on experimental literary forms and grassroots cultural movements.
