Professor Kate Pullinger is a Professor of Creative Writing and Digital Media at Bath Spa University and Director of the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCCI). She leads research initiatives such as the £6.5m South West Creative Technology Network and the £9m Bristol + Bath Creative R&D Partnership. Her work bridges traditional writing with digital innovation, focusing on ambient literature, transmedia storytelling, and participatory narratives. She directs projects like Amplified Publishing, exploring future publishing across VR/AR, books, and audio.
Her academic qualifications include a PhD by Published Works from De Montfort University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (2024) and winner of the Governor General's Award for Fiction (2009).
