Dr. Lucy English is a Professor of Creative Enterprise and the Spoken Word at Bath Spa University, affiliated with the School of Writing, Publishing and the Humanities. She holds a PhD in Digital Writing and has authored novels, poetry collections, and academic works. Her research focuses on poetry films, spoken word performance, and creative writing pedagogy. She co-directs the Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival and founded Liberated Words, an organization curating poetry films. A renowned performance poet, she has toured internationally and won the Bristol Poetry Slam (1996). Professional roles include RLF Consultant Fellow and External Examiner at Kingston University.
