Amy Silvestri Hunter, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Seton Hall University since 2003. Her research focuses on sleep's role in emotional memory, memory errors, and concussion-related impairments. Collaborations include work with Marianne Lloyd (human memory errors) and Sona Patel (concussion studies). She also investigates pedagogical strategies, such as syllabus design and orientation programs for psychology majors.
Education: PhD and MA in Psychology from the University of Vermont; BA in Psychology & Biology from Salve Regina University. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and Assistant Professor at Purdue University–Fort Wayne.

- REM sleep deprivation's impact on fear extinction and PTSD-like symptoms
- Cognitive consequences of adolescent sleep restriction
- Sleep disturbances post-concussion
