معرفی
Amy Reynolds is an Associate Professor in Clinical Sleep Health at Flinders University’s College of Medicine and Public Health. As an Australian Research Council DECRA recipient, she investigates the intersection of shift work, sleep disorders, and safety, with a focus on undiagnosed sleep conditions like insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea. Her work emphasizes solution-based approaches for industries including emergency services, mining, transport, and healthcare, advocating for systemic redesign of sleep disorder care, particularly for young shift workers.
- Education: PhD (2015), Master of Science in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) (2018), Master of Professional Psychology (2024)
- Awards: Young Tall Poppy of the Year (2024), multiple grants from Australasian Sleep Association, and university-level supervisory honors
Her research spans mixed-methodologies, including large datasets (e.g., Raine Study), qualitative analyses, and intervention trials. Recent publications highlight global warming’s impact on sleep apnea, task-dependent cognitive effects of sleep deprivation, and health system redesign for shift workers. She co-leads the insomnia and circadian disruption theme at FHMRI Sleep Health and serves on the BMJ’s International Patient Advisory Panel.
