Dr. Amy L. Demyan is a Professor of Psychology at the University of La Verne's Cástulo de la Rocha College of Health and Community Well-Being. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ohio University (Athens), an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the same institution, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) emphasis from Santa Clara University. As a licensed psychologist and registered yoga instructor, her work bridges clinical practice, mindfulness, and public health advocacy.
Her research focuses on health psychology, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, and the intersection of chronic pain management with behavioral medicine.
