Education: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (University of Notre Dame, 2011), postdoctoral fellowship at University of Denver, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Miami University. Research interests include methodology (e.g., ecological momentary assessment) and interventions targeting couple/family dynamics. Teaching philosophy prioritizes critical thinking and practical application, with structured, inclusive environments for student success.
Her work spans clinical psychology, health psychology, and marital therapy, often employing longitudinal studies and observational methods. Recent articles explore topics like pain management, marital communication, and the effects of interventions like PREP for Strong Bonds. Collaborations with students and peers have produced studies on attributions in marital interactions, pain catastrophizing, and anger regulation.
Presentations highlight her contributions to understanding relationship dynamics in chronic illness and the effectiveness of marriage education programs. She actively mentors students in independent research and emphasizes bridging clinical practice with research insights.
