Amy Freeman is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s School of Art + Art History, with roles spanning innovation courses and art history instruction. She has taught at institutions including the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Wyoming. Her artistic practice focuses on exploring cultural restrictions imposed on women in domestic spaces, informed by movements like #MeToo and the erosion of reproductive rights. Freeman employs mixed media, deconstructing and reassembling artworks to create narratives reflecting personal history and societal pressures.

Exhibitions: Notable shows include Handcrafted (Imperial Center for the Arts, 2024), Valdosta National (2022), and Common Thread (2021). Over 30 exhibitions across the U.S. and internationally highlight her exploration of identity and materiality.
