Amy Crawley is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Movement Sciences and Health at the University of West Florida, specializing in physiological development, aging, physical performance, and nutrition. She works within the College of Health and has over 15 years of experience in private fitness and strength and conditioning, with a focus on resistance training for athletes and special populations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha
- Master’s Degree in Health Science from Grand Valley State University
- Doctorate in Education from the University of West Florida
Research Interests:
- Programming for tactical athletes (e.g., police cadets, ROTC cadets)
- Body composition studies in athletes and golfers
- Integration of technology in strength and conditioning settings and classrooms
Professional Contributions: Amy has presented research at over 20 international, national, and regional conferences, including an invited presentation on police cadet fitness at the national NSCA-Tactical Strength & Conditioning Conference.
