Amy Carpenter is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Her research interests focus on K-6 reading strategies and preparing students for the Foundations of Reading Test (FORT). With over two decades of teaching experience spanning K-12 and college levels, she has specialized in Special Education with a focus on Emotional Behavior Disorders and Learning Disabilities.
Education includes:
- M.A. in Special Education (2017, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota)
- M.S. in Elementary Reading and Literacy (2007, Walden University)
- B.A. in Elementary Education (1999, Bethel University)
She holds teaching licenses from Minnesota and California, including Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development certification.
