Amit Bhatnagar is a Marketing Professor and Director of the PhD Program at the Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. He holds a PhD in Marketing from SUNY Buffalo, and MS/BS in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. His research focuses on consumer information search behavior, online shopping dynamics, advertising models, and retail competition. He also analyzes advertising data across traditional and digital media channels.
Dr. Bhatnagar has published in prestigious journals including Information Systems Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Harvard Business Review. He serves as Senior Editor at the Journal of Business Research and has reviewed for top-tier journals like Marketing Science and Journal of Retailing. He chaired sessions at the 2016 Academy of Marketing Science conference and has been invited to teach at institutions in Greece, South Korea, and India.
He teaches international marketing and leads Study Abroad programs spanning over 30 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. His work bridges theoretical and practical aspects of digital marketing, emphasizing consumer decision-making in evolving retail landscapes.
