Amir Yaron is the Robert Morris Professor of Banking and Professor of Finance at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on asset pricing, macro-finance, financial econometrics, and household finance. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago and a BA/MA in Economics from Tel-Aviv University.
His scholarly contributions appear in journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, Review of Financial Studies, and American Economic Review. He has received awards including the Smith Breeden Distinguished Paper Award (2004) and the Geewax, Terker – Company First Prize in Investment Research (2008).
Professor Yaron has held visiting scholar roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Bank of Israel, CEMFI-Spain, IIES-Sweden, and the IMF. His editorial roles include co-editor of the Review of Asset Pricing Studies and associate editor for Quantitative Economics and Financial Research Letters.
