Amir Erfani

Amir Erfani is Professor of Sociology and Demography at Nipissing University's Department of Sociology. His research examines fertility behaviors, family transformation, and health across the life course. Funded projects investigate low fertility in relation to gender inequality and socioeconomic uncertainty.

Research interests include reproductive health, social demography, immigration integration, and quantitative methodologies. Current projects analyze fertility intentions in changing family structures and economic conditions.
