Amina Silva, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Brock University. Her clinical expertise spans critical care, oncology, kidney transplantation, and simulation-based education. She leads a research program investigating deceased organ donation, end-of-life care, cancer survivorship, and simulation education to improve healthcare practices. Her work integrates literature reviews, quantitative/qualitative methods, and participatory frameworks, yielding over 40 peer-reviewed publications and grants from organizations like INACSL and CAN-Sim.
Dr. Silva teaches Nursing Theory: Care of the Acutely Ill Client (courses NUSC 2P14 and 2P16). She actively mentors graduate students in organ donation, educational strategies, and cancer care.
