Amélia Lopes is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal. She holds leadership roles as Vice-Director of the Center for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), Coordinator of the Observatory of School Life (OBVIE), and Coordinator of the research community IDEAFOR. She was elected President of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences (2024–2027) and serves as a Counselor on the National Education Council. Her extensive involvement in academic governance includes former roles as President of the Scientific Council and member of the Executive Council at FPCEUP.
