Amber Nordholm

Amber Nordholm is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research focuses on energy justice, environmental governance, and sustainability transitions, particularly examining carbon capture technology (CCS) and solar energy applications. She is affiliated with institutions like the Norwegian Centre for Energy Transition Strategies (NTRANS), Gemini Center, and CaptureX.

• Education: Master’s in Geographies of Sustainable Development from the University of Bergen, focusing on solar photovoltaics and energy poverty alleviation in Lisbon.

Research Interests center on multi-scalar analysis of low-carbon transitions, emphasizing the interplay between technological innovation, policy frameworks, and societal equity. Her work explores barriers to adopting CCS and solar energy, with a focus on transnational governance and democratic challenges in climate solutions.

Recent Publications analyze CCS innovation dynamics in Norway, alignment of policy and industry strategies for decarbonization, and scalar dimensions of energy justice. These studies span disciplines including Energy Technology, Environmental Science, and Policy Analysis.
