Matteo Philipp Zuch is a Research Fellow (Postdoc) at the Department of Technology, Management and Economics, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His work centers on societal acceptance of energy transition technologies, with methodologies spanning experimental economics, survey design, and policy analysis. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to climate action and affordable energy.
Research Interests: Zuch investigates public perception dynamics for low-carbon technologies like carbon capture storage (CCS), offshore wind, and solar power. His research integrates behavioral economics with environmental policy, focusing on how information framing influences community acceptance. Key themes include willingness-to-pay analyses, communication strategy optimization, and cross-technology acceptance comparisons.
Project Involvement: He led the PhD project \"Public acceptance and perception of carbon capture and storage technologies: Measuring consumer preferences and willingness to pay for CCS in Denmark\" (2022–2025), designing choice experiments to quantify Danish attitudes toward CCS deployment.
Academic Activities: Includes guest lectures on CCS acceptance at DTU, conference presentations (e.g., European Association of Environmental Economists), and thesis supervision on solar energy adoption.
