Dr. Amber Bloom is a core faculty member and licensed mental health counselor/supervisor at Antioch University's School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy. Her clinical and research interests span neurodiversity, LGBTQ2SAI+ mental health, religious trauma, and parenting.
- Education: PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (Texas Christian University), MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Indiana Wesleyan University), BA in Psychology (Anderson University)
Her research focuses on neurodivergent identities, queer-affirming counseling, and intersections of social media with psychological well-being. Recent publications explore counseling microskills training, practical journaling methods, and meaning-making in emerging adults.
She actively contributes to counseling pedagogy through presentations at ACES and SAIGE conferences, emphasizing LGBTGEQIAP+ clinical competencies and neurodivergent affirming practices. Professional affiliations include the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and SAIGE.
