Dr. Amanda Tauber is a Research Fellow and Senior Teaching Fellow at Bond University's Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine. She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours), focusing on the design and synthesis of ARTD8 inhibitors for cancer metastasis research. She is also a leader in educational innovation, developing virtual laboratories to enhance chemistry and biosciences education.

Her research spans biomedical sciences and pharmacology, with a focus on PARP inhibitors and their applications in cancer and virology (e.g., connection between PARP14 and SARS-CoV-2). She is currently involved in the APCOM Trial, funded by the Australian Government’s Medical Research Future Fund, to improve COPD patient self-care through personalized education. Her work also includes gamified virtual laboratories and 360° lab tours for distance learning.
Dr. Tauber actively supervises non-HDR students in projects like ARTD8 Inhibitors as Potential Inhibitors of the Warburg Effect and contributes to professional organizations including the American Chemical Society and Royal Australian Chemistry Institute. She has been featured in public engagement activities such as FameLab and the 3MT competition.
