Amanda Lyn Goush is a part-time lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason University (GMU). She holds a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Forensic and Investigative Science from West Virginia University (WVU), where she graduated in 2017.

Amanda specializes in prehistoric warfare, skeletal trauma interpretation, burial practices, taphonomy, paleopathology, and forensic anthropology. As a U.S. Navy veteran and native of West Virginia, she has combined her academic expertise with hands-on experience through roles such as teaching assistant for an Introduction to Human Osteology course at WVU and volunteering at the Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex. In 2018, she further enhanced her skills by completing a short course in Human and Comparative Osteology at Mercyhurst University.
Amanda’s current academic affiliation with GMU reflects her engagement with interdisciplinary research in anthropology. Her work bridges theoretical and applied studies, particularly in forensic and archaeological contexts.
