Amanda Feldman is a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at San Jose State University (SJSU), part of the College of Social Sciences. She holds an M.A. in Applied Anthropology from SJSU (2015) and a B.A. in Biological Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz (2013). Her research focuses on forensic anthropology, osteological trauma analysis, and biocultural contexts, with expertise in validating forensic methodologies and studying sharp-force trauma in domestic violence cases.
Her academic background includes fieldwork at ancient Mayan sites in Belize and Roman funerary graves in Spain. She currently teaches Anthro 12: Introduction to Human Evolution. Her research interests integrate sociocultural factors with biological health, emphasizing modern forensic applications. She contributes to the Integrative Anthropology Laboratory and collaborates on applied projects addressing contemporary anthropological issues.
