Amanda Williams

Amanda Williams is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, specializing in Biological Anthropology and Forensic Sciences. She joined the department in Fall 2022 and contributes to both academic instruction and research initiatives.

• BA (2010) in Anthropology & Sociology from University of Tennessee, Knoxville
• MA (2013) and PhD (2020) in Biological Anthropology from University of Montana

Her research focuses on forensic anthropology, particularly taphonomy and thermally altered human remains. Her expertise extends to cultural resource management, with experience as an osteological consultant in Nevada and California.
