Alpha Ba

Alpha Ba is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Memphis. They hold a Master of Science (2011) and Bachelor of Science (2007) in Mathematical Sciences from the same institution. Their research interests span Math Education, Operator Theory, Mathematical Physics, and Geometry. They have extensive teaching experience in courses such as Calculus, Probability and Statistics, and College Algebra, both at the University of Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College. Notable awards include the 2023 Certificate of Recognition and the 2020 First-time Principal Investigators Award. Alpha Ba has served on numerous committees, including roles in curriculum redesign, online education coordination, and student support initiatives at both the University of Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College. They have also contributed to NSF-funded projects focused on improving STEM education.
