Dr. Alonza Lawrence is a Researcher at the University of Illinois Voice Faculty, serving as professor of voice, contemporary vocal performance, Gospel studies, and vocal coach for the Lyric Theater. His work bridges Eurocentric and Afrocentric music practices through performance and pedagogy.
