Allison Van Stean

Allison Van Stean is a Visiting Professor of Practice at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law, where she has served since 2023. As Director of Advocacy Competitions, she focuses on teaching advocacy skills, including oral and written persuasion, and civil rights litigation.

Her research interests include the history of persuasive advocacy and pedagogical methods for teaching advocacy. She has coached moot court students in external competitions and practiced civil litigation with a boutique Dallas firm.
