Allison Gernant is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of English and the LeaRN Program at the University of Wyoming. She also serves as First Year Seminar Coordinator. Her teaching focuses on first-year composition, interdisciplinary problem-based learning, and academic success strategies. Gernant holds a B.A. from Grinnell College and an M.A. from the University of Wyoming.
Her research interests emphasize active learning methodologies and pedagogical innovation in higher education. She coordinates courses like First Year Seminar: Exploring the Functions of Storytelling and Academic Success Skills, integrating community engagement and critical thinking.
