Allan Santos da Rosa is a Research Fellow at Mecila (Maria Sibylla Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa) affiliated with the University of São Paulo, and currently serves as a Visiting Scholar at the Global South Studies Center (GSSC) of the University of Cologne since January 2024.
His research centers on social inequalities and developmental dynamics across the Global South, employing interdisciplinary methodologies to analyze political and social transformations. With a geographic focus on Africa and Latin America, his work emphasizes transregional collaboration through Mecila's framework that examines societal challenges including structural inequality, governance systems, and sustainable development pathways.
