Allan MacKenzie is an Assistant Professor in the W. Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology at McMaster University. He transitioned to full-time academia in 2012 after roles at Wilfrid Laurier University and industry leadership positions. His academic positions include inaugural Management Chair for the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) program (2012-2017). He teaches courses in leadership, strategic management, and entrepreneurship, blending industry experience with pedagogical innovation.
Education: MBA (Strategy & Leadership), B.Sc. (Hons) in Life Science, plus certifications in Strategic Management and Human Resources. Professional designations include Certified Manager (USA, UK, Canada) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR).
Research focuses on workplace ecology, organizational strategy, and experiential learning.
