Alissia Hui is a Research Fellow at the Department of General Practice, Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She is currently pursuing her PhD with a focus on improving the utilisation of long-acting reversible contraception for endometriosis treatment in Australian primary care. Her work spans public health clinical trials and women's sexual and reproductive health research.
- Education: Master of Public Health (Research Methods) at Monash University (2017), Graduate Certificate of Medical Acupuncture at Monash University (2004), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS Hons) at Monash University (2000).
Her research interests center on women's health, specifically hormonal treatments for endometriosis, shared maternity healthcare, and evidence-based practices in primary care. She contributes to large-scale trials like STAREE, addressing cardiovascular disease prevention in older populations.
Alissia collaborates with multidisciplinary teams in national projects, including the National Multidisciplinary Primary Care Research, Policy and Advocacy Consortium and the implementation of medical abortion guidelines. She serves as Chief Investigator in projects related to reproductive health and preventive medicine.
