Alison Yeh Cheung

Dr. Alison Yeh Cheung is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Studies Department at California Polytechnic State University's College of Liberal Arts. She holds a Ph.D. from University of Utah (2021), M.A. from San Diego State University (2016), and B.A. from Westmont College (2013).

Her scholarship examines rhetorical criticism, Asian American cultural production, and critical media studies, with focus on race representation in popular culture. Current research investigates panethnic formations in transnational contexts.

She received the National Communication Association's Asian/Pacific American Caucus Top Paper Award and Scholar of the Year recognition from the National States Advisory Council.
