Chiou-Ling Yeh is a Professor in the Department of History at San Diego State University's College of Arts and Letters. She earned her PhD from UC Irvine (2001), MA from Michigan State University (1993), and BA from National Chengchi University (1990).
Her research examines Chinese diasporas, Chinese American communities, racial/ethnic history, gender studies, and US cultural diplomacy in Asia. She is currently researching a Chinese American orphanage in East Bay, California.
Dr. Yeh has received multiple teaching awards from the Department of Asian Pacific Studies and prestigious fellowships from UC Humanities Research Institute and Bryn Mawr College.
