Professor Alison Porter-Armstrong is affiliated with Edinburgh Napier University's School of Health and Social Care, focusing on occupational therapy and digital healthcare technologies. Her work spans stroke rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorder interventions, respiratory care, and dementia research.
- Current projects include "Co-creating the future: multifunctional robots in occupational therapy and dementia" (2025-2026)
- Leading "Accelerating community care impact in Tayside" (2024-2027) with EPSRC funding
- Completed "TakeTen Scoping Study" (2023) funded by the Scottish Government
